Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a Senior developer for the team, steering the design, development, and deployment of contemporary Laravel-based applications.

• Design and oversee the migration of legacy CodeIgniter applications to Laravel, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code or similar) to expedite development processes, enhance code quality, facilitate extensive refactoring, produce thorough unit and integration tests, and maintain current system documentation.

• Guide team members and promote knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Write clean, secure, and efficient code, emphasizing thorough documentation and testing.

• Review and approve peer-written code to uphold code quality and uniformity.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives via Microsoft Teams.

• Accurately track time and deliverables using internal tools and project management systems.

• Stay informed about security best practices and contemporary development methodologies.

• Exhibit a self-motivated approach to problem-solving, continuous learning, and professional development.

• Advocate for a user-centric mindset and empathetic software design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in full-stack PHP development, with strong expertise in Laravel.

• Demonstrated experience in transitioning applications from legacy frameworks (CodeIgniter) to Laravel.

• Exceptional skill in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js.

• Solid understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and preprocessors such as SASS/LESS.

• Proficiency in Git for version control and experience with Unix/Linux command-line environments.

• Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Keen attention to detail and a user-centric approach.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a government background clearance.
