Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain systems that adhere to robust architectural principles, ensuring high availability, efficient resource usage, and self-healing features.

• Spearhead the design and development of scalable API integrations, facilitating seamless connectivity and adaptability with external data sources and partners.

• Create comprehensive logging, tracking, and alerting systems to monitor vital system health indicators, ingestion quality, and customer behavior for proactive risk management.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines, support automated testing methodologies, and implement stringent coding standards to guarantee safe, secure, and frequent production deployments.

• Engage actively in Agile planning, perform in-depth architecture reviews, and generate clear technical documentation to aid developer onboarding and peer mentorship.

• Assess and incorporate emerging technologies, including AI-driven development tools and automation frameworks, to enhance code development, minimize technical debt, and address complex business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and maintaining live, distributed systems capable of managing large-scale data ingestion and microservices architectures.

• High-level proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with specific expertise in Angular as a framework.

• Practical experience utilizing cloud services to develop high-performance solutions, along with a solid understanding of event-driven systems, worker orchestration systems (like EKS), queues, and resource management.

• Familiarity with AWS and related tools, applying knowledge to meet customer requirements efficiently.

• Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to extract insights more quickly and a commitment to cultivating an engineering culture centered on automation and AI-enhanced productivity.
