This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design, develop, integrate, and provide support for OCCU's internally created software solutions.

β€’ Construct and manage relational data structures, stored procedures, ETL processes, and robust data infrastructure with high availability.

β€’ Enhance and support proprietary applications, which include UI components and back-end workflows.

β€’ Work in conjunction with QA to develop automated test cases and address any defects.

β€’ Document workflows, integration points, and development processes to ensure long-term sustainability.

β€’ Diagnose and resolve Tier 2/3 technical issues while supporting release activities.

β€’ Utilize Scrum and ITIL methodologies to maintain consistent, high-quality development practices.

β€’ Collaborate with Developers, Solutions Architects, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver dependable and scalable solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of five years of hands-on or academic development experience, particularly with large datasets and high-volume applications.

β€’ Proficient database skills including queries, stored procedures, data structures, relational database concepts, performance optimization, and scaling.

β€’ Experience in ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration with external systems.

β€’ Full-stack development experience utilizing modern programming languages.

β€’ Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

β€’ Experience in the financial industry or within a regulated environment is preferred, though not mandatory.

β€’ Educational requirement: Currently enrolled in or completion of a four-year Computer Science degree (with database coursework completed), or equivalent experience showcasing practical technical skills.
