📋 Description

• Design and develop workflows for developers that enhance speed and quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including local development, CI/CD, code review, testing, and deployment.

• Create and expand AI-driven workflows by utilizing tools such as Claude Code, internal agents, and the latest AI platforms.

• Build internal tools and platforms that standardize and streamline the software building and shipping processes for teams.

• Identify productivity hurdles through data analysis, observation, and feedback from developers, and address them systematically.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to gain a thorough understanding of their challenges and quickly iterate on effective solutions.

• Enhance developer feedback mechanisms, including faster continuous integration, improved testing strategies, and smarter code review automation.

• Promote experimentation with new tools, such as AI-assisted coding and workflow automation, and assess their effectiveness.

• Measure and convey impact using relevant productivity metrics, such as cycle time and deployment frequency.

• Advocate for a superior developer experience as a primary focus throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid software engineering background, typically with 5+ years of experience.

• Proven experience in developing internal tools, platforms, or systems designed for developers.

• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and common challenges.

• Proficient in at least one backend programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go, Java).

• Enthusiasm for enhancing developers' work processes, not just the products they create.

• A systems thinker who can pinpoint leverage points across teams and workflows.

• Experience with CI/CD systems, build tools, and developer environments.

• Familiarity with engineering metrics and effective usage (without manipulating them).

• Experience in using or integrating AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, etc.).

• Interest in developing agentic workflows, internal automation, or developer copilots.

• Comfortable experimenting with APIs, prompt design, and workflow orchestration tools.

• Ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating developer challenges into actionable solutions.

• Product-oriented mindset: treating internal tools like products, complete with users, feedback loops, and iterative improvements.

• Experience with internal developer platforms (IDPs) or platform engineering teams is a plus.

• Familiarity with tools such as Backstage, Terraform, or workflow engines (e.g., Temporal, Airflow).

• Experience in evaluating or implementing engineering productivity tools (e.g., LinearB, Jellyfish, etc.).

• Background in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure engineering is a plus.
