Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure the efficiency, performance, scalability, and dependability of the system architecture for Public Works fleet management solutions.

• Accountable for executing project tasks and overseeing daily operations, including writing scalable and secure software, as well as conducting quality assurance through peer reviews.

• Deliver periodic status reports to key stakeholders to guarantee that the project remains on schedule and fulfills expectations.

• A proactive communicator and self-driven individual who consistently delivers results and takes ownership of work from start to finish.

• Possess strong analytical and project management abilities, with a talent for identifying needs and formulating effective solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 - 8 years of experience as a Software Developer utilizing object-oriented programming to create scalable applications (preferably with a background in C# and full-stack development).

• A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Essential proficiency in C# / .NET, TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Git.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Gemini, Codex) and a keen interest in AI fluency.

• Strong project management capabilities; able to assess needs, devise effective solutions, and oversee projects through to completion.

• Experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and query writing.

• Capacity to operate in a distributed remote setting, ideally within Pacific or Mountain Time zones, and engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
