This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment, leading technical initiatives within the team, including estimation, sprint planning, full software development lifecycle tasks, code reviews, research, deployments, and documentation.
• Take ownership of the design and implementation of intricate features for the DMS platform and DMS API, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and consistent with the overarching technical architecture.
• Lead architectural decisions pertaining to data integration pipelines and API services, contributing to the evolution of the platform’s cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify and resolve complex software bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges.
• Work alongside agentic AI to expedite verified outcomes and assist in establishing team patterns and standards for AI-assisted development.
• Analyze and rectify SQL Server performance challenges, including query analysis and optimization.
• Establish and maintain development standards, quality practices, and technical architecture across all deliverables.
• Design and implement comprehensive automated tests (unit and integration) for all code modules.
• Write clear, well-documented, and intent-revealing code.
• Facilitate peer review processes and enhance the overall quality of the team’s output.
• Foster a learning environment through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
• Mentor and guide peers and junior developers on design methodologies, programming techniques, application insights, and technical product knowledge.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7+ years of relevant industry experience, showcasing technical leadership on complex projects.
• Proficient in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Micro Services, and REST API design.
• Experience in designing and constructing data integration pipelines and service-to-service integrations.
• Practical experience with AWS (e.g., ECS/Fargate, SQS, S3, Lambda) and containerization using Docker.
• Familiarity with agentic AI models (Claude, GPT).
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
• Ability to produce clean, well-structured code adhering to S.O.L.I.D. principles.
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Proficient in HTML/JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and front-end frameworks (React, jQuery, Knockout.js).
• Skilled in Git-based source control and CI/CD workflows.
• Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience in designing distributed, event-driven, or message-based systems (e.g., queue-based consumers, auto-scaling workloads).
• Experience in AI agent development.
• Proficient in writing, analyzing, and optimizing high-performance T-SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Object Relational Mappers such as Entity Framework.
• Understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices and methodologies.
• AWS certification or comparable cloud experience.
