Senior Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Define the reference architecture and integration strategy for a comprehensive data center management platform.

• Design strong connections between BMS, DCIM, CMMS, and related systems (SCADA, IoT, analytics).

• Set standards for scalability, reliability, security, and continuous 24/7 mission-critical performance.

• Lead architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and promote cross-functional collaboration.

• Assess vendors and emerging technologies; conduct proofs-of-concept; evaluate build versus buy options.

• Convert operational challenges (energy efficiency, predictive maintenance, incident response) into scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in systems/software architecture, including at least 5 years in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or industrial OT settings.

• Proven leadership: directed architecture for complex multi-system integrations; guided senior engineers; shaped technical direction across teams.

• Practical experience in developing or integrating BMS, DCIM, and/or CMMS platforms (or very similar systems) in a production environment.

• Strong skills in distributed systems and integration (APIs, event-driven architectures, high-availability design, time-series data).

• Extensive knowledge of data center fundamentals: power, cooling, capacity planning, environmental monitoring, and operational workflows.

• Exceptional communication skills to connect technical and operational stakeholders.
