Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance the tooling and automation of our infrastructure to reduce manual tasks, boost performance, and lower the frequency and severity of incidents.

• Develop, maintain, and support essential applications.

• Oversee our systems for capacity, performance, and address any issues that arise.

• Collaborate with the SRE team to ensure the seamless and continuous delivery of our services to clients.

• Exhibit a high degree of independence in anticipating, identifying, and resolving systemic weaknesses and opportunities for platform enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Site Reliability or Software Engineering, focusing on building and maintaining scalable, resilient services.

• Expertise in creating tools and automation for service management, along with analyzing system and application metrics to diagnose and rectify performance issues.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as an SRE or Software Engineer, particularly with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

• Proficient in architecting and leading large-scale observability platforms, including defining observability standards and SLO frameworks. We utilize Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana Alloy, Loki, and Tempo.

• Experience and willingness to work in an on-call environment, assessing and enhancing monitoring and alerting systems, and developing run books for issue investigation and debugging.

• Strong background with infrastructure as code tools; experience with Terraform is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, multi-tenancy strategies, and assisting teams with container orchestration best practices. We employ EKS and GKE.

• Familiarity with one or more high-level programming languages such as NodeJS, Go, Ruby, Python, along with Shell Scripting.

• Linux experience is essential.
