Senior Security Software Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Identifying vulnerabilities in widely-used software deployed on the Internet and/or in the firmware of popular devices.

• Developing exploits for vulnerabilities that you or your team have discovered.

• Steering the technical outcomes of the teams toward measurable deliverables for the organization.

• Providing training, management, and guidance to team members at all levels.

• Engaging regularly with management and customer-facing personnel to address inquiries related to technical projects.

• Actively participating in cross-team initiatives as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Vulnerability Research, reverse engineering, and bug hunting.

• Proficient in both static and dynamic binary analysis.

• Familiarity with iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, or embedded systems, including kernel, user land, internals, or browser internals.

• Knowledge of common tools used in security research (such as IdaPro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, AFL, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG, etc.).

• Proficient in common programming languages (including C/C++, Python, Swift, etc.).

• Understanding of various architectures (e.g., x86/64, ARM, AARCH64, MIPS, PowerPC, TILEGX, etc.).

• Experience with contemporary security system features, exploit mitigations, and evasion techniques (like defeating ASLR, DEP, Control Flow Guard, ROP, and Security Product/AV Evasion, etc.).

• Knowledge of a broad range of modern exploitation concepts and techniques.
