This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create automated solutions for the large-scale collection, processing, and analysis of data, such as vendor patch processing and analysis.
• Detect exploits within extensive file collections.
• Identify browser-based exploits.
• Recognize malicious infrastructure.
• Conduct vulnerability research on a diverse range of targets, such as analyzing vendor patches to find vulnerabilities and develop proof-of-concept exploits.
• Examine evidence of malicious activities (like log files and payloads) to verify the exploitation of 0-day and n-day vulnerabilities, determine root causes, and reproduce exploits.
• Discover new vulnerabilities in applications or products.
• Collaborate with various teams within CrowdStrike Intelligence and beyond to reproduce emerging vulnerabilities and provide actionable technical insights.
• Provide information on topics related to information security.
• Fulfill specific technical collection requirements.
• Share research findings on the CrowdStrike blog or present them at conferences.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong background in information security with more than 4 years of experience.
• Experience in vulnerability research and exploit development.
• Capable of effectively utilizing GenAI/LLMs to enhance software development and conduct vulnerability research.
• Background in reverse engineering.
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating system internals.
• Solid experience in software development (Python is preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, creativity, and strong analytical skills to investigate, evaluate, validate, and think innovatively.
• Able to work independently with a customer-focused mindset.
• Capable of working remotely within a collaborative team setting.
• Bonus Points:
• Proven success in participating in CTF competitions.
• Familiarity with mobile platforms and operating systems (e.g., Android, iOS).
• Experience with macOS.
• Knowledge of the Go or Rust programming languages.
