Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI-driven security tools to consistently monitor for threats, anomalies, and policy breaches within cloud and application ecosystems

• Address and resolve or escalate security incidents; leverage AI-assisted analysis to expedite root cause investigations and post-incident documentation

• Examine and rectify security breaches by providing post-incident analysis that highlights causes, solutions, and AI-informed preventative strategies

• Employ AI tools to simulate attack scenarios and prioritize remediation efforts based on assessed risk

• Evaluate, design, implement, automate, and document security solutions for both public and private cloud infrastructures

• Execute "security as code" practices using cloud services and CI/CD components

• Establish baseline security standards for cloud, container, and application environments, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborate with a variety of technical and business stakeholders to promote security best practices

• Document security systems, procedures, and controls; ensure compliance through adherence to information security policies

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a comparable role

• Extensive technical experience in cloud computing technologies and security automation, with a focus on AWS

• Proven, practical experience using AI tools to automate security processes, enhance threat detection, or improve incident response

• Capability to deconstruct complex issues and develop custom solutions or scripts

• Experience in DevOps settings, collaborating with and guiding developers to uphold security throughout CI/CD practices

• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• In-depth knowledge of network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web servers, and database security

• Comprehension of identity federation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (SAML, OIDC, OAuth)

• Bilingual — fluent in Spanish and English

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

• Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601), CEH (EC-Council), CISSP (ISC²), CISM or CISA (ISACA)
