Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Design and implement security measures for mobile applications, backend services, and web platforms.

• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for both new and existing systems.

• Integrate secure coding practices across engineering teams in accordance with OWASP standards.

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure that security is woven into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Detect and address application vulnerabilities and security threats.

• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of DevSecOps methodologies.

• Offer guidance on secure architecture and software design principles.

• Aid in the development and enforcement of security policies, controls, and engineering standards.

• Enhance the organization's application security posture through proactive security evaluations and testing.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure systems align with internal security standards and external regulatory requirements.

• Provide security expertise regarding infrastructure components, including containers and cloud-native environments.

• Contribute to the processes of incident response and vulnerability management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in security engineering or application security.

• More than 3 years of experience in Application Security (AppSec).

• At least 3 years of experience in conducting threat modeling and risk assessments.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience applying secure coding principles that align with OWASP standards.

• Strong knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and strategies for mitigation.

• Demonstrated experience working with engineering teams to create applications that are secure by design.

• 2 to 3 years of experience implementing DevSecOps practices.

• 2 to 3 years of experience securing containerized environments, such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Over 2 years of experience applying cryptography and encryption techniques within application security.
