Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Oversee and investigate security alerts across cloud, identity, endpoint, and network domains.

• Analyze logs and activities from AWS, GCP, Active Directory, Linux systems, Windows systems, and various security tools.

• Assist in incident response by collecting evidence, confirming suspicious activities, and documenting results.

• Develop scripts to automate repetitive security tasks, log analysis, reporting, or data enrichment.

• Support security assessments, including IAM, storage exposure, compute workloads, and network setups.

• Examine authentication activities, user behaviors, privilege modifications, and possible account breaches.

• Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend systems, identify risks, and aid in remediation, compliance, and audit processes.

• Be on-call for after-hours incident response when urgent security incidents necessitate investigation or support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in cloud security concepts, services, logs, and IAM.

• Strong scripting skills, ideally with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Chronicle, Sentinel, or comparable tools.

• Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, command line operations, permissions, processes, and logs.

• Basic to intermediate comprehension of Active Directory, including users, groups, authentication, and privilege modifications.

• Capability to read and interpret logs from cloud services, operating systems, and security tools.

• Understanding of common security principles such as phishing, credential compromise, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and exposed services.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
