Senior Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI-enhanced SIEM, XDR, and threat intelligence platforms for ongoing surveillance of security events in both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Examine security alerts, logs, and threat data with AI-assisted tools to swiftly differentiate true positives from false alarms.

• Actively search for threats and anomalies employing AI-informed behavioral analytics.

• Lead and assist in security incident response efforts; leverage AI tools to expedite root cause analysis.

• Execute and facilitate vulnerability assessments across cloud, application, and infrastructure environments, utilizing AI tools to prioritize remediation actions.

• Aid in compliance efforts across applicable frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST); utilize AI tools to track policy deviations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in an information security analyst capacity or a comparable role.

• Practical experience with SIEM platforms, threat intelligence tools, and security monitoring in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Proven, hands-on experience using AI tools to automate or substantially enhance security analysis, threat detection, or incident investigation—with specific examples to discuss.

• Strong grasp of network-based, system-level, and application-layer attacks along with mitigation strategies.

• Experience with vulnerability management initiatives and risk-based prioritization.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare (HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST CSF).

• Understanding of identity and access management principles, including standards for authentication and authorization (SAML, OIDC, OAuth).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to communicate complex security findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bilingual—Spanish and English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
