Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate security incidents utilizing SIEM reports and additional security tools.

• Assist in incident response efforts, which encompass triage, investigation, evidence gathering, and root cause analysis.

• Execute access management tasks, including routine access assessments and entitlement validation.

• Aid in vulnerability management by monitoring findings, tracking remediation progress, and accepting risks.

• Develop and sustain security metrics, KPIs, reports, risk registers, and remediation logs.

• Facilitate audit preparation and evidence collection for ISO 27001/17/18, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and other pertinent frameworks.

• Contribute to the upkeep of security policies, procedures, standards, and control documentation.

• Assist in third-party vendor security evaluations and maintain vendor risk documentation.

• Collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance, and business teams on security-related matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT, compliance, audit, risk management, or a related discipline.

• Practical experience in a Security Analyst role or a similar cybersecurity position.

• Knowledge of IAM, access assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response protocols.

• Familiarity with cloud security, endpoint security, cloud IAM models, and foundational networking concepts.

• Awareness of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or GDPR.

• Experience in managing security documentation, policies, procedures, audit evidence, and compliance reviews.

• Capability to analyze security data, trends, and metrics, and communicate findings effectively.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with tools like SharePoint, Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, document repositories, or collaboration platforms.
