Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Incident Management: Oversee the complete incident response lifecycle, which includes preparation, identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.

• Forensic Analysis: Execute digital forensics on various hosts (Windows/Linux/iOS/Android), as well as memory, networks, and cloud environments to ascertain the root cause of security breaches.

• Advanced Monitoring: Collaborate with the SOC/Support team to triage complex alerts in XDR/SIEM and NDR tools.

• Threat Hunting: Engage in proactive searches for threats that may have evaded current security measures.

• Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive technical reports and forensic findings to aid executive decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Bacen/LGPD).

• Continuous Improvement: Propose modifications to detection rules and security policies based on the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) identified during investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field is required.

• Technical Experience: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, network protocols (TCP/IP), and log analysis is essential.

• Tooling: Familiarity with XDR solutions (such as SentinelOne, Sophos, CrowdStrike), SIEM, and forensic tools (like Autopsy, FTK, Volatility, or similar) is necessary.

• Attack Knowledge: A practical understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework is required.

• Languages: Proficiency in technical English for reading documentation and composing reports is important.

• Differentials: Relevant certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCFE, CHFI, or equivalent), prior experience in the financial sector and knowledge of Bacen regulations; skills in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automating collection and analysis tasks; and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and edge security are advantageous.
