This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.
• Offer scientific expertise on USP–NF monographs, general chapters, analytical methods, validation strategies, and the lifecycle management of USP Reference Standards.
• Evaluate regional scientific and regulatory trends to proactively inform regional scientific engagement strategies.
• Enhance USP’s presence within the regional scientific community by collaborating with researchers and, when necessary, co-authoring technical white papers and peer-reviewed articles, as well as supporting the establishment and functioning of scientific advisory boards.
• Incorporate scientific insights into broader regional account strategies to foster long-term partnerships and influence.
• Represent USP in high-profile scientific, regulatory, and policy discussions.
• Capable of identifying and independently managing strategic scientific engagement initiatives with key stakeholders (both internal and external) that feature clear deliverables, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives that necessitate alignment among marketing, regulatory, sales, and global scientific teams.
• Methodically gather and analyze regional scientific and regulatory trends.
• Convert insights into actionable recommendations that shape regional planning and global priorities.
• Master’s degree with 12-15 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 8-10 years of experience in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical development, quality assurance, regulatory science, or analytical sciences.
• Familiarity with various analytical testing procedures and methodologies, along with regulatory knowledge (FDA, ICH, etc.) for the approval of bio-/pharmaceutical products.
• Proven expertise in pharmaceutical analytical sciences, with a solid working knowledge of USP–NF compendial standards, analytical methods, and reference standards.
• Strong comprehension of impurity control strategies, encompassing organic, inorganic, elemental impurities, residual solvents, and extractables and leachables.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of French is an additional advantage and preferred.
