Senior SAP Functional Consultant – Basis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of SAP application components and functionalities to meet customer requirements.

• Tailor SAP applications, resolve issues, and restore operational capabilities.

• Deliver both technical and functional support for various SAP modules.

• Administer certificates and PGP keys effectively.

• Manage jobs, transport landscapes, SAP system/RFC connections, and system integrations.

• Address SAP Basis incidents while overseeing technical users and emergency protocols.

• Administer the Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, SAP email dispatch, system/profile parameters, and Landscape.xml where relevant.

• Supervise SAP printers and assist with SAP license measurement as needed.

• Issue developer and object keys as required.

• Provide support for SAP application clients.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding SAP systems.

• Collaborate with SAP operations teams.

• Oversee, configure, monitor, report on, and administer SAP Cloud (BTP).

• Update and install third-party SAP add-ons effectively.

• Manage transport and change management processes.

• Administer SAP clients, installation files, configuration data, testing, module tests, rollouts, SSO, and dependency management.

• Develop and implement quality assurance measures, maintain documentation, and create the operations manual.

• Support provider management for the SAP data center service provider and ensure SLA compliance.

• Assist with escalations in second-level support.

• Engage in SAP landscape projects, changes, system development, installations, infrastructure modifications, and related technical endeavors.

• Aid in maintenance and system-change planning, monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• SAP Certified Consultant with SAP S/4HANA System Administration certification.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis-specific customization and extensive technical expertise, including S/4HANA.

• Experience in administrative and configuration roles within project and operational frameworks is preferred.

• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Understanding of cloud environments, particularly SAP BTP.

• Knowledge of ITSM processes in accordance with ITIL standards.

• Awareness of DevOps methodologies.

• Proficient in SAP authorization management.

• Committed, dependable, and responsible work ethic.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in English and German at a minimum of level B2.

• Desirable skills include: OS and database release/version upgrades, reactive patches, SAP application maintenance planning, support packages, release upgrades, SAP Notes, dependency analysis, change management, testing, platform/infrastructure issues, monitoring, system optimization, and performance analysis.
