Senior Salesforce Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the test automation strategy and execution across Salesforce environments, including Classic, Lightning, and intricate third-party integrations, while selecting and refining the appropriate tools and frameworks for our technology stack.

• Design and create automated test suites utilizing tools such as Playwright, Copado Robot Testing, simple-salesforce, Behave, or similar frameworks, and integrate them into our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / ArgoCD).

• Lead regression, smoke, functional, UAT, integration, and performance testing for Salesforce customizations such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Flow automation.

• Promote early quality engagement by participating in requirements and design sessions, challenging assumptions, and identifying risks before they impact development.

• Advocate for testability during code reviews, offering structured feedback on Apex, LWC, and integration code with a focus on quality and coverage.

• Ensure data integrity across the platform, which includes Salesforce records, reports, dashboards, Data Cloud pipelines, and inbound/outbound integration payloads.

• Log, triage, and manage defects from start to finish in Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps and collaborating effectively with developers until resolution.

• Establish and uphold test documentation standards, including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, coverage matrices, and results reports.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA contributors and developers on automation best practices, test design patterns, and a quality-first mindset.

• Stay updated with Salesforce releases (three times per year), assess new features and deprecations for testing impact, and proactively suggest improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA/test engineering, with a substantial focus on Salesforce platforms in production settings.

• Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including hands-on experience testing Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Apex triggers and classes, Visualforce pages, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and platform events.

• Strong skills in automation engineering, with the ability to write clean and maintainable test code.

• Proficiency in Python is expected; experience with Playwright, Copado Robot Testing, or similar Salesforce-aware frameworks is a significant advantage.

• Fluency in CI/CD processes, with comfort in integrating automated tests into GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD-based pipelines, and iterating on pipeline configurations.

• Experience in integration testing, with the capability to design and execute tests across REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures (Kafka/Confluent), and data pipelines (Snowflake or similar warehouses).

• Proficiency in Jira, with experience in defect lifecycle management, sprint hygiene, and operating within structured Agile/Kanban workflows.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable test strategies.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate risks, coverage gaps, and quality decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Naturally collaborative, comfortable working across development, product, and platform teams, and able to constructively challenge when quality is at stake.
