This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Proactively assist Sales Directors and other stakeholders in identifying market opportunities and spearheading the development of regional commercial strategies.
• Engage with customers in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa early in the process to gain a comprehensive understanding of their technical and commercial needs, crafting responses that secure business.
• Assess and filter opportunities alongside Sales and other stakeholders to decide which prospects to pursue, while efficiently managing resources.
• Create a regional operating rhythm and processes to actively plan for future resource needs, ensuring responsiveness to customers and timely proposal deliveries.
• Promote a One Team culture where team members are encouraged to collaborate on cross-border opportunities based on business priorities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Fulfillment, and supporting functions to develop optimal solutions for customers and GE Vernova.
• Partner with the Sales and Product Management teams to implement commercialization strategies for new products and services tailored to customers in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
• Execute strategies to secure high-value and strategically important projects, partnering as necessary to provide solutions.
• Work in close coordination with Power, Grid Solutions, Digital Services, and other GE Vernova businesses to create integrated proposals and execution plans.
• Implement the commercial management operating mechanism within the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, including tools for deal owners, action plans, operating cadence, and deal reviews.
• Cultivate team behaviors that ensure the timely and efficient progression of deals through the R-table review process, confirming all necessary steps are completed and that review materials are thoroughly prepared.
• Maintain situational awareness of external risks that could affect project execution and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the Legal, Finance, Risk, and Tax teams to identify and manage risks in alignment with the established Commercial Deal Management process and Commercial Delegation of Authority (DoA), negotiating effectively with customers.
• Utilize the latest Cost Handbook, pricing, document management, and all relevant digital systems and tools to manage the proposal development process efficiently.
• Provide active coaching and intervention to assist Commercial and Technical Leaders in achieving their business objectives.
• Represent the business at a senior level in customer meetings and industry forums.
• Exemplify the GE Vernova values to motivate team members and colleagues.
• Ensure the highest standards of compliance and integrity.
• Foster a learning culture where key insights are captured to enhance processes, proposals, pricing, and business execution strategies.
• Share best practices across regions, product lines, and functions.
• Enhance the capability and competence of the Regional Commercial team through coaching, training, on-the-job learning, and providing leadership and direction within a high-performing team culture.
• Commercial expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex negotiations, engage customers early, identify risks, and secure executable orders.
• Strong understanding of the commercial ITO process and key enabling elements such as costing and risk management.
• Strategic mindset: Customer-oriented with the ability to recognize regional market trends and associated opportunities or challenges necessary for achieving long-term business goals.
• Capability to screen opportunities to select those with the highest potential for success and to achieve the desired commercial and financial outcomes.
• Ability to identify unique paths for GE to outperform competitors.
