Senior Rust Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Rust.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to architect and implement modular, well-structured solutions across workspace crates (model, domain, data, service).

• Create gRPC services for inter-service communication.

• Develop and enhance data access layers for relational, time-series, and graph databases.

• Participate in an agile team environment with daily stand-ups and weekly agile meetings.

• Engage in code reviews for your colleagues' contributions.

• Directly communicate with clients to provide demonstrations and gather feedback.

• Contribute to observability and monitoring efforts using Tracing and OpenTelemetry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building backend services, with a minimum of 2-3 years developing production systems in Rust.

• Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and actor-based concurrency patterns.

• Experience in designing and implementing gRPC APIs; familiarity with Tonic is an advantage.

• Proficient in relational, time-series, and graph databases, with preferred experience in TimescaleDB and Neo4j.

• Strong testing practices, including unit and integration testing; familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber is a plus.

• Knowledge of security best practices, including JWT-based authentication and authorization.

• Understanding of fundamental design principles related to scalable and distributed systems.
