Senior Rust Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold high-throughput, secure, and auditable backend services utilizing Rust.

• Implement CQRS and event sourcing methodologies to create systems that capture and store long-lived, immutable event streams.

• Incorporate third-party and internal security services (including offensive security automation tools and API outputs) into the core platform workflows.

• Transform existing manual or ad-hoc processes (e.g., cron jobs utilized by penetration testing teams) into dependable and scalable services.

• Utilize RabbitMQ or similar technologies to manage event processing pipelines.

• Guarantee comprehensive management of data lineage, history, and security across distributed components.

• Work collaboratively with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver comprehensive platform features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Rust: Able to develop and maintain idiomatic, efficient Rust code; should be adept at navigating the Rust ecosystem and utilizing its compiler and borrow checker smoothly.

• CQRS and Event Sourcing: Profound understanding of Command Query Responsibility Segregation and event sourcing design patterns.

• Event-Driven Systems: Demonstrated experience in constructing backend services that depend on long-lived, immutable event streams.

• Message Queue Proficiency: Knowledge of message brokers like RabbitMQ; familiarity with Kafka or Kinesis is also acceptable.

• API and Security Integration: Able to integrate with third-party APIs, particularly within the security tools and platform sectors.
