This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama.
• Assess new merchant applications utilizing established decision frameworks; evaluate profitability to identify the most favorable deal that aligns merchant demand with company margin requirements promptly, and document the decision rationale clearly.
• Analyze special pricing or product requests from current merchants and suggest the most advantageous offer based on performance history and approved profitability assessments; implement treatments in a timely manner.
• Oversee portfolio performance in relation to risk appetite and proactively propose treatments, risk adjustments, pricing modifications, or terminations to sustain a healthy merchant base.
• Create and maintain Sigma reports to monitor acquisition funnels, portfolio performance, credit risk, fraud risk, and other essential metrics throughout the merchant lifecycle; convert insights into concise, executive-ready recommendations that empower leaders to act swiftly and confidently.
• Collaborate closely with Sales to design and implement individual merchant treatments; track outcomes and report results effectively.
• Work in partnership with the Technology team to ensure the timely and quality execution of decisioning rules and system changes, including test validation.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, or another quantitative STEM discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in credit risk, underwriting, pricing, or strategy analytics, ideally within fintech, payments, or lending sectors.
• Understanding of P&L concepts to harmonize revenue growth goals with loss control measures.
• Practical experience in developing dashboards and reports using Sigma, Tableau, or similar BI tools, with a proven ability to derive business insights from complex datasets and present them clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the skill to conduct root cause analysis, identify patterns, and maintain attention to detail to guarantee quality from analysis through to deployment and outcome tracking.
• A strong sense of ownership; capable of managing multiple priorities and responding to partner requests with urgency and a collaborative attitude.
• Expertise in SQL and Excel; familiarity with Python, R, or decision tree analysis is an advantage.
• Experience in managing merchant partnerships or B2B lending is a plus.
• Background in working with complex relational databases and large transaction-level datasets.
