Senior Retail Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create seasonal and event-specific co-branded merchandise collections across apparel, headwear, accessories, and novelty items.

• Oversee product development, purchasing, pricing, and inventory management across various venues, e-commerce platforms, and special events.

• Recognize emerging trends, new brands, and product opportunities to continuously enhance the merchandise selection.

• Take charge of the daily administration and optimization of the Shopify storefront.

• Develop and maintain product listings, collections, promotions, landing pages, and website content.

• Work collaboratively with Marketing and Retail Operations to facilitate product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal projects.

• Evaluate sales performance, inventory levels, sell-through rates, margins, and customer demand to refine purchasing decisions.

• Track inventory health and suggest replenishment, transfers, markdowns, and exit strategies to maximize profitability.

• Assist with new venue openings, retail initiatives, and special merchandising projects as the business expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of progressive experience in retail buying or merchandising, demonstrating a successful track record in driving sales, margin, and inventory performance.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with strong strategic thinking and adaptability.

• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets to guide assortment, inventory, and financial decisions.

• Solid understanding of product development, omnichannel retail strategies, and multi-channel execution across physical stores, e-commerce, and event-based retail.

• Proven ability to utilize sales insights, market trends, and financial metrics to optimize product assortments and enhance business performance.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and cross-functional project management abilities.

• Familiarity with Shopify and managing retail operations across multiple locations.
