This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assist with export controls, research conflict of interest, and research security.
• Identify, analyze, monitor, and communicate emerging federal, state, and sponsor research security legislation, policies, requirements, and resources.
• Interpret intricate regulatory guidance and offer clear recommendations to University leadership, researchers, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, sponsor, and institutional requirements.
• Provide expert support related to research security, export controls, and research conflict of interest in sponsored projects.
• Conduct preliminary reviews of international outside activities and agreements to evaluate research security and compliance considerations.
• Review travel disclosures and offer briefings as necessary.
• Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of University policies, guidance documents, and resources.
• Create educational materials and deliver outreach, training, and advisory support to researchers and staff to enhance awareness and compliance.
• Act as a subject matter expert and advise internal stakeholders on mitigation strategies and best practices.
• Manage programs for sponsored projects, including coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders, supporting recruitment efforts, and creating reports, products, and resources.
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal and/or academic research security, export controls, and/or research conflict of interest; federal research regulatory analysis and compliance, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal research security, export controls, and/or conflict of interest legislation, policies, and guidance.
• An advanced degree in science, law, public policy, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in an academic or research-intensive environment is preferred.
• Experience in supporting research compliance programs is preferred.
