This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Act as a Senior Tax Research Analyst fulfilling the responsibilities of a Tax Product Partner (TPP) within agile product teams.
• Analyze and apply intricate federal and state tax laws to ensure the precise development and execution of tax software.
• Take ownership and contribute to deliverables in line with the Regulatory RACI, which includes defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and assessing tax impacts on calculations, content, and user experience.
• Collaborate effectively with Product, IT, and cross-functional teams to guarantee alignment, maintain clear communication, and ensure timely delivery of compliant solutions.
• Employ Azure DevOps to manage and monitor work items, fostering visibility and accountability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate tax data structures and schemas using tools like XML Spy to determine impacts on calculations and e-filing processes.
• Assist in resolving complex tax issues, production defects, and regulatory inquiries, thereby enhancing overall product quality.
• Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment to prioritize tasks, identify risks, and propose solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience through a combination of education and related work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax-related work or a comparable field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and/or state tax laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to research, interpret, and communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience in collaborating across various teams and functions to meet business objectives.
• Capability to analyze challenges, devise solutions, and execute with a high level of accuracy and responsibility.
• Proficiency in work management tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with XML/schema analysis or the ability to rapidly gain proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to evolving regulatory and product demands.
