This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take charge of Brushfire's complete mobile platform, which includes two React Native applications.
• Design and sustain an app for organizers alongside a white-label app for attendees.
• Deploy applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Oversee the entire mobile application lifecycle, encompassing development, testing, pipeline management, and deployment to stores.
• Engage with the APIs utilized by the mobile applications.
• Play a role in the anticipated platform consolidation initiative.
• Work collaboratively with clients and team members through group chats, video conferences, and phone discussions.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions focused on architecture and implementation.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience using React Native.
• Over 2 years of experience in submitting and managing cross-platform mobile applications in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
• More than 2 years of experience working with TypeScript.
• A minimum of 1 year in an agile/scrum environment, with extensive use of tools like JIRA and Shortcut.
• Proven experience in leveraging AI development tools within a genuine engineering workflow.
• Familiarity with PubSub databases, particularly Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database.
• Proficient in using GitHub or similar version control systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, effectively interacting with clients and colleagues.
• Solid examples and evidence showcasing work products and the applicant's contributions.
• A desirable backend instinct for reading, understanding, and modifying API endpoints without causing disruptions.
• Experience in writing unit tests in any programming language is highly desirable.
• Background in SQL databases is highly desired.
• Familiarity with C# and React is highly preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related technical field is highly desired.
• Ability to engage in strategic and planning discussions around architecture and implementation is highly desirable.
• Preference will be given to candidates located near Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
