Senior Quote Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee public-sector bidding processes, which include engaging with municipalities, attending bid openings, promoting products, and following up on award notifications.

• Align cost data within the stipulated timelines for bids.

• Create formal quotations, submittals, and compliant competitive proposals.

• Input purchase orders and follow up with clients to ensure timely order fulfillment.

• Manage Request for Quotes (RFGs) by consulting with purchasing agents and seeking new RFG opportunities.

• Maintain and document ongoing quotation projects.

• Assist in project management and organize deliverables effectively.

• Act as the primary contact for inquiries regarding quote and proposal details.

• Compile monthly reports tracking quotation activities and key performance indicators.

• Engage with customers to enhance professional relationships.

• Identify, assess, and manage public-sector bidding opportunities for municipal water and wastewater operational equipment.

• Review bid documents, product specifications, and contract stipulations.

• Collaborate with sales teams, vendors, and operations staff.

• Monitor deadlines and prepare comprehensive bid packages.

• Ensure that pricing, certifications, and compliance documentation are thorough and accurate.

• Serve as the main point of contact throughout the solicitation process.

• Address complex issues and independently devise solutions.

• May oversee project completion, which includes planning, delegating, monitoring, and reviewing tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments, if required.

• Typically requires a BS/BA in a relevant discipline.

• Generally requires 5–8 years of experience in a related field.

• Certification is necessary in specific areas.

• Skilled in obtaining certificates of insurance and bid bonds.

• Experienced with electronic bid submission platforms such as Bidnet, OpenGov, Bonfire, and Ionwave.

• Familiarity with national cooperative contracts like Sourcewell, AXIA, or OMNIA is advantageous.

• Comprehensive knowledge of product lines.

• Strong attention to detail and adept project management capabilities.

• Knowledgeable in public procurement processes.

• Ability to analyze technical specifications to enhance sales opportunities and minimize contractual risks.

• Capable of making decisions amidst uncertainty and resolving complex issues.
