Senior QE Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Lead the testing strategy for your designated product area, responsible for both functional and non-functional quality results.

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test suites utilizing Robot Framework, Python, and other programming languages, integrated within our CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI).

• Manage the end-to-end integration testing layer, from test design to execution, defect resolution, and enhancement of coverage.

• Conduct thorough testing of REST APIs: including contract validation, error scenarios, authentication and authorization boundaries, schema compliance, and performance edge cases.

• Monitor and analyze automated test outcomes, providing timely feedback to development teams while minimizing false positives.

• Take ownership of defect reporting and management, tracking issues until resolution and validating fixes.

• Serve as the quality contact for your area, managing testing risks and maintaining recovery plans for critical release scenarios.

• Lead root cause analyses on defect escapes and initiate changes to prevent future occurrences.

• Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, enhance shift-left practices, and continuously improve tools and testing methodologies.

• Mentor developers and junior Quality Engineers in testing strategies and fostering a quality-centric mindset.

• Engage in hiring and onboarding processes to cultivate a robust QA community at Enfuce.

• Represent Enfuce QA to internal stakeholders and customers when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in API testing - REST, contract validation, error conditions, and authentication boundaries.

• Proven experience in test automation using Robot Framework and Python, creating maintainable suites that the team can manage and expand.

• Proficient in at least one additional programming language or framework (e.g., Java/REST Assured, TypeScript/Playwright).

• Familiarity with integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (we utilize GitLab CI).

• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying risks and coverage gaps.

• Effective communicator with both technical teams and customers.

• Experience in clearly documenting test plans, defect reports, and quality trends.

• Enthusiastic about quality: committed to both learning and sharing QA expertise.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (k6/JavaScript, Gatling, JMeter).
