Senior QA Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and interprets intricate software architectures and system integrations to develop comprehensive testing plans that ensure complete requirements coverage.

• Possesses software development skills with expertise in Python, JavaScript, and various scripting languages.

• Designs, implements, and sustains automated testing suites utilizing BDD with Playwright and Selenium frameworks, facilitating functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications.

• Conducts both manual and automated testing, documents findings, analyzes failures, performs root cause analysis, and effectively communicates quality risks and outcomes.

• Rapidly grasps new features and enhancements, evaluates their influence on existing functionalities, and identifies suitable test coverage.

• Actively engages in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams (development, product, networking, and operations) to ensure prompt resolution of issues and enhancements in quality.

• Utilizes AI-assisted testing tools and techniques (e.g., AI-generated test scenarios, smarter test maintenance, failure pattern analysis, or exploratory testing support) to enhance efficiency and testing effectiveness.

• Acts as a proactive team member, collaborating to tackle complex quality and system-level challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Intermediate to fluent proficiency in English.

• 5-7+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering roles.

• Demonstrated experience in software testing automation.

• Experience mentoring junior QA Testing Engineers.

• Strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/iterative methodologies.

• Practical experience with modern test automation frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium, and Behave (BDD).

• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Ruby (a plus).

• Experience with performance and non-functional testing tools such as JMeter.

• Knowledge of Linux-based environments; scripting experience is an advantage.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-oriented quality practices.

• Interest in or experience with AI-assisted testing strategies, including utilizing AI to expedite test development, enhance automation stability, or assist in defect analysis.
