Senior QA Engineer – Automation, Data, Kafka

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive quality strategy for intricate distributed systems and data integration platforms.

• Ensure reliability across APIs, event pipelines, databases, and downstream data warehouses.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to verify data accuracy, system performance, and platform stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in QA Engineering, SDET, Test Automation, or similar quality assurance positions.

• Profound expertise in API automation testing and automation frameworks like PyTest, Selenium, Jest, or comparable tools.

• Practical experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of ETL testing, data validation, and distributed data pipelines.

• Experience in validating data across various layers, including APIs, messaging systems, databases, and data warehouses.

• Strong understanding of integration testing, microservices testing, and system-level validation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of AVRO schemas, Schema Registry, and contract testing methodologies is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is advantageous.

• Experience in performance testing, soak testing, idempotency validation, and data consistency testing is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with a knack for working effectively across engineering and business teams.
