Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and backend systems.

• Design and update automated test scripts utilizing contemporary automation frameworks.

• Work in collaboration with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to guarantee testability and quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

• Assist in the development and enhancement of automation frameworks under the supervision of the QA Lead.

• Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate continuous testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring appropriate prioritization and resolution.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-up meetings to embed quality early in the process.

• Provide support for performance and security testing activities as needed.

• Analyze test results, deliver clear reports, and highlight risks or quality issues.

• Continuously enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 4–7 years of experience in software testing with significant exposure to both manual and automated testing.

• Backbase certification is essential.

• Practical experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript).

• Strong experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking software (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
