Senior QA Automation Engineer – Nexus Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead and take ownership of quality assurance processes within the team, which includes conducting code reviews, automating workflows, and implementing new testing best practices.

• Establish and oversee the maintenance of existing automated tests and their frameworks, while ensuring new features are supported by automated testing.

• Conduct manual testing, with a primary focus on back-end systems.

• Develop and maintain essential documentation. Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Tech Lead Manager to refine project requirements.

• Aid in the collection of analytics and work effectively with external teams.

• Provide assistance to internal users regarding product issues through detailed investigations, discussions, and clarifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in QA, including more than 3 years in QA automation.

• Proficiency in API and UI Test Automation utilizing Java and/or Kotlin.

• Solid understanding of core programming concepts, guidelines, and patterns.

• Knowledge of the web stack and client-server applications, including familiarity with HTTP, RESTful APIs, and browser debugging tools.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Basic UNIX skills, with comfort in using CLI tools.

• Practical experience in setting up and maintaining testing infrastructure, such as CI/CD pipelines and Docker/containerized environments.

• Strong English proficiency for documentation purposes and team collaboration.

• Basic knowledge of load testing techniques and tools, security best practices, and PII processing is a plus, but not required.

• Understanding of and experience with gRPC.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), etc.

• Knowledge of establishing Quality Gates and the processes surrounding them.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, etc.

• Experience working in an agile, cross-functional team within a fast-paced environment.

• Exposure to using AI/LLM tools to enhance QA processes, including code reviews, test data generation, code generation, and analytics.
