Senior QA Automation Engineer, JavaScript/TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive QA support throughout the entire application lifecycle within a dynamic deployment environment.

• Conduct functional, UI, regression, and end-to-end testing for web applications and newly launched features.

• Validate transactional workflows and payment integrations, emphasizing e-commerce and payment-related processes.

• Test and verify Point of Sale (POS) integrations, data synchronization, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to assist with data validation, backend verification, and ETL-related testing activities.

• Design, maintain, and enhance automated test suites utilizing Selenium and JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Execute API testing, database validation, and troubleshoot data-centric workflows.

• Engage in release validation efforts and proactively identify risks, obstacles, and quality issues.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to QA processes, automation coverage, and deployment reliability.

• Function effectively in lean, highly collaborative settings where adaptability and ownership are essential.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Software QA and test automation.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium and JavaScript or TypeScript for web automation testing.

• Proven experience in conducting functional, regression, UI, and end-to-end testing across contemporary web applications.

• Practical knowledge of testing e-commerce platforms, payment workflows, and third-party integrations.

• Experience in testing payment gateways or transactional workflows; familiarity with Stripe is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of API testing, backend validation, and database verification processes.

• Experience working in close collaboration with engineering and data teams in Agile or Kanban environments.

• Ability to quickly adjust to evolving priorities and fast-paced operational requirements.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
