Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality and robust solutions for various projects, including mobile applications, web-based SaaS applications, and enterprise process automation and integration initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to design APIs, data models, and all back-end components tailored to project requirements.

• Partner with front-end web or mobile developers to create effective API designs.

• Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Transform user experiences into reality; your expertise will enhance our products and support the growth of our team daily!

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 - 10+ years of experience in designing suitable software architecture for the challenges being addressed.

• Extensive experience in building web applications and APIs using Python and Django.

• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL.

• Experience in designing and developing secure RESTful APIs and utilizing the Django Rest Framework.

• Proven experience in creating resilient integrations with other API-based systems, focusing on performance aspects such as caching, queueing, and logging.

• Familiarity with background jobs using Celery and Flower.

• Experience with authentication, social authentication, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

• Proficient with GitHub or similar platforms and branching strategies.

• Experience in deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.

• Knowledgeable in building and deploying Docker containers.

• Familiarity with observability and telemetry tools.

• Strong root cause analysis skills—capable of efficiently diagnosing issues and providing stable solutions.

• Project Management: Documenting requirements, data flows, and system architectures.

• Ability to estimate work accurately.

• Plan project timelines using agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

• Effectively manage time for yourself and your team.

• Team Player: Offer thought leadership on best practices, including writing readable, maintainable, performant, and secure code.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Communicate effectively to identify priorities and navigate through obstacles.

• Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of business processes and data.
