This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create new features for our primary commerce and customer engagement platforms.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to refine and receive swift feedback on feature development.
• Utilize AI tools such as Claude Code and multi-agent workflows daily to aid in planning and execution.
• Ensure our essential transactional and event systems maintain high availability, durability, accuracy (as financial transactions are involved), and exceptional performance.
• Develop and improve admin tools and workflows that empower our internal business stakeholders to operate more independently.
• Confirm that features align with acceptance criteria and are backed by comprehensive automated test coverage.
• Integrate with external providers and tools (like Stripe and Braze)—making use of their existing functionalities while navigating their limitations.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve reported bugs and Sentry errors.
• Work alongside the Product Owner and Project Manager to translate business requirements into clear technical stories and tasks.
• Collaborate with various in-house engineering teams and external providers to launch solutions for customers.
• Review code from peers and participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
• Support and scale platforms across multiple regions.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing, delivering, enhancing, and maintaining APIs utilized by multiple systems using Python and a Python-based API framework like FastAPI.
• Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance backends that serve hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Practical experience with Stripe's billing and payment infrastructure.
• Strong background in asynchronous data retrieval and processing in Python.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and modern automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in system monitoring, telemetry, and resolving production performance issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and translation skills (converting business objectives into reliable technical implementations).
• Ability to work during US East Coast core hours (from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST).
• Nice-to-Have/Pluses: Experience with Braze (or similar customer engagement platforms), RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, legacy .NET/C# migration, or frontend technologies like Next.js, React, Tailwind, and TypeScript.
