This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take ownership of and execute comprehensive financial analyses at the portfolio level for Clinical Solutions departments, covering budget health, forecast accuracy, margin performance, and risk identification.
• Oversee project financial management throughout the entire project lifecycle, from award to closeout, ensuring compliance with financial best practices and internal controls.
• Conduct variance analyses of actuals, forecasts, and budgets to pinpoint change drivers, scope creep, and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with project finance teams to maintain the consistency and integrity of project-level data for portfolio reporting.
• Enhance and support departmental forecasting and planning processes using well-founded, supportable assumptions.
• Track budget utilization, earned value metrics, and the impacts of change orders across portfolios.
• Offer forward-looking insights to inform proactive financial decision-making by operational leadership.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting standards.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for trial operations that connect operational performance to financial results.
• Utilize Excel and Power BI to design scalable dashboards and analyses that facilitate portfolio governance and executive reviews.
• Transform complex financial and operational data into straightforward, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to the heads of Clinical Solutions departments in planning, performance assessments, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and present executive-ready materials summarizing portfolio performance, risks, and recommendations.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested by Finance, Clinical Operations, or executive leadership.
• Work in collaboration with Project Management, Clinical Operations, Data Management, and Finance teams to synchronize operational execution and financial reporting.
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, along with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Solid background in project finance within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment.
• Exceptional analytical and presentation skills.
• Capability to engage credibly with department heads and senior operational leaders.
• Proficient in portfolio-level financial analysis, forecasting, budget performance, margin analysis, and financial controls.
• Experienced in project financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Skilled in conducting variance analysis and recognizing scope creep and financial risks.
• Familiar with trial operations KPIs linking operational performance to financial outcomes.
• Proficient in Excel and Power BI for creating dashboards and analyses.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen.
• Ability to distill complex data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations.
