This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the product vision and roadmap within the Billing domain, which includes bill calculation, adjustments, and the development of new flexible energy revenue streams.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, industry experts, and customers to convert operational billing needs into a well-defined and prioritized product strategy.
• Identify and spearhead the product response to regulatory changes related to billing.
• Work closely with other teams to guarantee that settlement and metering data, half-hourly flows, tariffs, and industry reconciliation are accurately integrated into billing calculations.
• Drive product innovations on managing intricate and evolving billing scenarios such as multi-directional energy flows, export payments, flexibility market rewards, and time-of-use rates.
• Spot opportunities where AI and automation can enhance billing precision and minimize exception handling.
• Keep abreast of industry trends in DSR, V2G, heat pump tariffs, and smart charging, developing a proactive billing product strategy for each.
• Assist in meeting client SLA obligations, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting in the billing sector.
• Maintain a prioritized and well-justified backlog, ensuring your engineering team is always informed about what they are building and the reasoning behind it.
• Leverage data, experimentation, and AI tools to foster ongoing improvements in billing accuracy, exception rates, and the quality of customer-facing outputs.
• Implement strong ERP financial management principles within the billing domain.
• Represent the Billing domain in cross-functional planning discussions while managing interdependencies with Market Operations, Metering, Tariffs, Statements, Payments, Debt/Collections, and Platform.
• Mentor and support other Product Managers to elevate the standard of product thinking and delivery.
• Extensive experience in product management, with a history of owning complex, commercially vital product domains.
• Profound understanding of billing, invoicing, and financial management within an enterprise setting—including credit, adjustments, collections, reconciliation, and audit processes.
• Familiarity with ERP or financial platform concepts (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) as they pertain to the invoice lifecycle and revenue management.
• Experience in collaborating across multiple upstream domains or systems to ensure data integrity in downstream financial outputs.
• Proven capability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including representatives from enterprise clients, with clarity and confidence.
• Strong expertise in product management practices, including strategy formulation, road-mapping, prioritization, experimentation, and lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and AI tools to inform product decisions and drive operational enhancements.
