Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive full-stack features utilizing Ruby on Rails and React (TypeScript) within a small, dedicated team.

• Take complete ownership of your product area from real customer workflows and edge cases to delivery, performance, and ongoing quality assurance.

• Seamlessly integrate white-labelled third-party services into the platform and manage vendor relationships, including hands-on debugging when issues arise on their end.

• Engage in architectural discussions and technical trade-offs beyond just implementation.

• Assist in translating product requirements and limitations into clean, maintainable solutions.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and elevate the technical standards within your team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience in developing production web applications.

• More than 3 years of production experience with Ruby on Rails.

• At least 3 years of experience building React applications in a production setting.

• Proficient in working with TypeScript (our frontend codebase utilizes it throughout).

• Experience in startup or scale-up B2B SaaS environments.

• Knowledgeable in AI-assisted development and able to demonstrate its impact on your workflow.

• Comfortable working in uncertain environments and taking end-to-end ownership of projects.

• Experience with multi-persona, workflow-heavy SaaS products.

• Strong written communication skills: clear, direct, and capable of articulating technical decisions to non-engineers and external partners.

• Bonus: extensive experience integrating third-party APIs/white-labelled services, implementing usage-based/billing features, and refactoring or migrating systems.
