Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Product surfaces: Take ownership of and enhance Feldera's web UI and cloud portal — the platforms utilized by customers to create, deploy, manage, and monitor their pipelines.

• User journey: Consider the entire user experience from start to finish — initial impression, registration, onboarding, and daily workflows — identifying and resolving any obstacles that may hinder a new user's path to success.

• Design & UX: Infuse a keen design perspective into every aspect. Convert intricate, technical workflows into user interfaces that are clear, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. Collaborate on (or lead) the visual and interaction design in addition to the implementation.

• Full stack engineering: Engage with the entire stack — from front-end interfaces to the APIs and services that support them — to deliver complete features rather than just the visible components.

• Collaboration with the platform: Partner closely with the backend engineering team to ensure that the product surface effectively showcases the underlying capabilities.

• Quality & polish: Take responsibility for the intricacies — performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and the finer details that distinguish a decent tool from one that users truly appreciate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong full stack experience in developing production web applications, with significant expertise in front-end technologies (TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Svelte, or Vue).

• A proven eye for design — capable of transforming a vague or complex workflow into a clean, intuitive interface, with a strong focus on typography, layout, and interaction details. **Portfolio or examples of completed work are highly valued.**

• Solid understanding of the fundamentals: HTML/CSS, responsive design, accessibility, and front-end performance.

• Comfort in navigating the entire stack — creating and utilizing APIs, and understanding the services that support the UI.

• Product sense: the ability to assess user needs, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions with limited guidance.

• Strong debugging skills and the capability to troubleshoot issues across both front-end and back-end systems.

• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

• Bonus: experience in designing for developer or data tools, familiarity with data-heavy UIs, or proficiency in design tools (Figma).
