This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the design process from start to finish for a key product area, engaging in early discovery and high-fidelity Figma design while collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions by conducting usability tests, exploring workflows, and translating insights into design choices that influence the product direction.
• Create user-friendly UX patterns for intricate interaction models, including multi-step automation workflows, AI-generated content, data-rich tables, and critical decision interfaces.
• Design experiences tailored for AI integration, focusing on uncertainty states, intervention options, streaming content, and effective error management.
• Develop and sustain Figma component libraries and design system resources that provide Engineering with a consistent and scalable visual language.
• Champion accessibility by ensuring WCAG compliance, addressing color and contrast, facilitating keyboard navigation, and promoting inclusive design practices.
• Define design projects with a practical approach, making intelligent trade-offs between quality and delivery speed without sacrificing accuracy.
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality visual and interaction design, featuring complex layouts, multi-step workflows, and a distinct, cohesive perspective.
• Extensive proficiency in Figma, including variables, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and maintaining a clean component library.
• Comfort in designing for AI-native user experiences, with an understanding of the unique challenges presented by probabilistic output surfaces.
• Experience with data-dense user interfaces, such as tables, filtering and sorting, bulk actions, and information-heavy layouts that remain user-friendly.
• Strong instincts in user research, including the ability to conduct interviews, synthesize qualitative insights, and relate findings to design choices.
• Proficiency in accessibility standards, including WCAG, ARIA, color/contrast considerations, and motion sensitivity.
• Experience in contributing to or developing design systems, with a solid understanding of component architecture and design for reusability.
• A product-oriented mindset, with the ability to articulate strong opinions, clearly communicate reasoning, and discern when to advocate for ideas or prioritize delivery.
• Visual design skills and brand sensibility are advantageous, especially when responsibilities extend beyond product UI.
