This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Apply design thinking methodologies to create straightforward and user-friendly experiences for both native mobile applications and responsive web interfaces.
• Collaborate equally with other departments to establish product vision and create strategic roadmaps, while effectively assessing trade-offs based on business objectives and user needs.
• Leverage a comprehensive understanding of user-centered design in everyday solution discovery, design implementation, and iterative processes.
• Advocate for consistent experiences across various platforms and contribute to the development and enhancement of our design system.
• Assist in cultivating our product design practice, allowing us to scale efficiently while delivering our best work.
• 3-5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with a preference for backgrounds in Android and/or iOS mobile applications, SMB SaaS, and/or payments.
• Familiarity with the principles of Product-led Growth in your design work.
• Proven experience designing for both native mobile and responsive web platforms.
• A well-curated portfolio showcasing product design, service design, and product strategy.
• An empathetic approach to understanding user needs, facilitating the creation of meaningful design solutions.
• Ability to distinguish between a ‘good’ and a ‘great’ user experience.
• The interactions, workflows, and experiences you design are intuitive and validated through real user feedback.
• A strong user focus, ensuring design decisions are informed by research, usability testing, and quantitative data.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for identifying and defining problems, rather than just providing design solutions.
• Confident in presentation and storytelling skills.
• Experience working collaboratively within multifunctional teams alongside product managers and engineering leads.
• Skilled in developing, collaborating on, and refining brand and design guidelines to maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across products.
• Expertise in translating brand values into effective design elements that engage target audiences.
• Proficient in utilizing A/B design testing methods to iteratively enhance UI/UX components within live products.
• Proven ability to implement UI/UX modifications based on testing results and effectively monitor user impact to guide design decisions.
• Strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, Jira, Productboard, Maze, or similar user experience testing platforms.
