Senior Product Design Manager, Travel

📋 Description

• Drive the design vision for Engine’s booking experience, enhancing its intelligence, speed, and enjoyment. This experience is a key revenue generator for our business and will significantly influence our growth trajectory.

• Lead and mentor a skilled team of 3-6 product designers, while also being hands-on when necessary.

• Establish the creative direction and maintain a high standard for clarity, craftsmanship, and consistency across all travel interfaces.

• Transform insights, trends, and product objectives into straightforward, intuitive experiences that resonate with our users.

• Collaborate closely with various partners throughout the company to act swiftly, address real traveler challenges, and deliver impactful work.

• Advocate for the role of design in shaping strategy and achieving meaningful business results.

• Utilize contemporary AI-native workflows (Cursor, Figma Make, MCPs, prototyping systems) to enhance productivity and leverage.

• Proficiency in the complete product lifecycle, from formulating product strategy and guiding discovery to driving concepts and executing build-ready solutions.

• Strong design skills in visual, interaction, and UX, emphasizing clarity, utility, and delight.

• Expertise in managing intricate groups of stakeholders.

• Leadership experience in recruiting, mentoring, and raising the team's performance standards.

• Demonstrated ability to align and influence product managers, engineers, data teams, and executives.

• Proficiency in Figma, design systems, and new tools such as Pencil / Cursor.

• Effective storytelling skills, capable of conveying the strategic rationale, not just the design aspects.
