This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee enterprise IT sourcing and software procurement as a Senior Manager in IT Procurement.
• Handle the largest and most intricate software renewals, strategic sourcing initiatives, and governance of IT procurement.
• Generate measurable savings while functioning independently without needing daily supervision.
• Collaborate with IT to establish a Software Steering Committee aimed at evaluating new suppliers.
• Manage the strategic supplier software renewal cycle within a 12-month timeframe.
• Ensure that essential software provider contracts are sourced, negotiated, and executed.
• Partner with key stakeholders to ensure that supplier performance standards are achieved.
• Analyze business needs by collaborating with stakeholders to devise solutions for IT requirements.
• Develop both Short and Long Term Commodity strategies.
• Mentor members of the Procurement team in areas such as RFx creation, contract review, negotiations, and Procurement Best Practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in IT operations.
• Experience in negotiating large, complex renewals with software providers such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and Workday.
• Ability to collaborate across functions to develop and implement standardized processes and policies.
• Flexibility to navigate current company operating procedures while collaboratively proposing, planning, and executing future states.
• Project management experience is desired.
• Capability to drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, and phone systems.
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with levers available to secure the best possible pricing for new software.
• Proficient project management skills with a strong capacity to prioritize tasks.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
