This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Manage all aspects of IT operations from start to finish: device procurement and management, SaaS administration, and identity and access management.
• Oversee our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform while ensuring a secure and efficient fleet of Mac and Windows devices.
• Administer essential business tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, 1Password, and others, while assessing new tools as the company expands.
• Lead the IT onboarding and offboarding process to guarantee a positive Day 1 experience for new hires and ensure smooth departures.
• Take ownership of our Notion workspace as a vital IT system: manage permissions and access controls, maintain its structural integrity as we scale, and collaborate with teams to keep it organized, functional, and secure.
• Stay at the forefront of AI tooling: assess, pilot, and govern AI tools throughout the organization, establish guidelines for responsible use, manage access, and assist team members in maximizing tools like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others as they become part of our toolkit.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation and self-service resources that genuinely empower teammates to assist themselves.
• Implement and uphold IT security fundamentals in close collaboration with the Security Engineer: endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and access controls — you will manage the IT and SaaS layers while the Security Engineer focuses on production and cloud security layers.
• Oversee Vanta, our GRC platform — manage our compliance posture, track controls, coordinate evidence collection, and project manage our SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI certification programs from start to finish.
• Manage our current third-party IT partner (Mann) while working towards transitioning support in-house over time.
• Act as the primary resource for troubleshooting and support, not merely closing tickets, but functioning as a true partner to the team.
• Adopt a proactive mindset: identify potential issues before they arise and build the infrastructure for our future, not just our present.
• 5+ years of IT experience, preferably within a high-growth startup or a remote-first SaaS or fintech environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build from the ground up — you don’t require a playbook to initiate projects, and you can effectively prioritize in uncertain settings.
• Hands-on experience with a GRC tool — Vanta is strongly preferred; Drata or similar tools are acceptable. You have successfully project-managed a compliance audit rather than just provided support.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 and at least one of ISO 27001 or PCI DSS — the three certifications we aim to achieve over the next year or two.
• Strong project management instincts — you know how to keep a compliance program on track without it turning into a crisis during audit periods.
• Practical experience administering Notion at scale — including managing permissions, workspace governance, and collaborating across functions to maintain structure and utility.
• Understanding of AI tools and their integration within the workplace — you recognize the productivity benefits along with the security and compliance implications that come with them.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly without leaving anyone feeling excluded.
• Security-conscious and pragmatic — you understand the necessary trade-offs and make informed, practical decisions (note: in-depth technical security expertise is provided by the Security Engineer; this role collaborates, not leads, in that area).
• Experience managing a Mac-centric, fully remote team and the associated SaaS stack.
• A genuine concern for the individuals you support, beyond just resolving tickets.
• Remote Work: Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville).
• Health Insurance: We provide 100% coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for employees, along with HSA and FSA accounts.
• Dependent Care Coverage: Eligible dependents receive coverage, with 50% of Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums covered.
• Mental Health: Our health insurance plans include access to a TalkSpace membership.
• 401k: We offer a 3% 401k match for all eligible employees.
• Vacation and Holidays: We have a Flexible PTO policy with unlimited vacation days and recognized company holidays.
• Wellness Week: We close for one week each summer to prioritize rest and recharge for the entire team.
• Parental Leave: We provide 12 weeks of paid leave for all parents and comprehensive leave planning management through Aidora.
• Family Care Support: Access a company-paid UrbanSitter membership plus care credits for trusted, background-checked caregivers for childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support when needed.
• Home Office Stipend: Enhance your home office with company-sponsored expenses for high-quality laptops, monitors, and modern technology.
• Coworking Stipend: Receive a monthly stipend allowing you to work from coworking spaces or cafés whenever you seek connection, community, or a change of scenery.
• Charitable Giving: Employees are encouraged to contribute up to $50/month to any verified nonprofit of their choice on Givebutter.
• Professional Development: We provide reimbursement opportunities for learning and development.
• Love What You Do: Be part of a mission-driven company serving the charitable sector and feel good about the impact of your work and the organization you are part of.
