Senior Principal Scientist, Investigational Product Preparation Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Overseeing activities related to the utilization of investigational products in clinical trial execution.

• Developing the Investigational Product Preparation and Administration instructions (IPPI) to ensure adherence to best practices.

• Guaranteeing uniform program deliverables, including the IPPI.

• Offering consultation and sharing expertise across J&J Innovative Medicine to ensure safe and precise delivery at clinical sites.

• Contributing to the CMC portfolio management team by monitoring milestones for senior management reporting.

• Identifying opportunities for enhancements in team or product development across the TDS organization.

• Assisting or leading teams in executing initiatives aimed at delivering organizational or process enhancements.

• Mentoring and coaching team members to elevate their skills and contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Pharmacy, or an equivalent international degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 10 years of recent experience in a patient care environment as a nurse or pharmacist, with comprehensive knowledge of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) requirements for investigational agents, is essential.

• Experience in devising strategies for the safe and precise delivery of investigational products within a clinical environment is required.

• Extensive background in the preparation and/or administration of both investigational and commercial agents is necessary.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with demonstrated conflict management and negotiation skills are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to adapt effectively to the changing issues, structures, and dynamics of the organization are essential.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently is required.

• Capacity to make timely difficult decisions, accompanied by excellent follow-through and organizational skills to ensure team and organizational alignment with these decisions is essential.

• Ability to influence without direct line authority is required.

• An active clinical license as a nurse or pharmacist is necessary.
