Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance our Developer Experience by developing self-service capabilities.

• Architect, implement, and sustain scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP utilizing Kubernetes and other managed services.

• Oversee and optimize our CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Spearhead our Infrastructure as Code initiatives employing Terraform.

• Propel enhancements in site reliability across our product offerings.

• Uphold and advance our security standards within cloud environments.

• Minimize operational overhead by recognizing and automating repetitive infrastructure and deployment tasks.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to comprehend their infrastructure requirements and convert them into platform capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.

• Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster design, workload management, RBAC, networking, and daily operations.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform.

• Strong knowledge of cloud providers, preferably GCP, with practical experience in networking, IAM, compute, storage, and managed services.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux.

• Solid understanding of GitOps principles.

• Proficient in coding with Python.

• Experience in designing and implementing observability stacks, including logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing.

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-platform engineers, translating infrastructure-related issues into actionable insights for product teams.
