Senior PHP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and develop high-performance, scalable backend systems utilizing PHP.

• Guide architectural decisions and promote best practices throughout the engineering team.

• Refactor and upgrade legacy systems into maintainable, modular services.

• Construct and enhance RESTful APIs.

• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and support teams to deliver top-quality features.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues, emphasizing reliability and performance.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the pursuit of engineering excellence.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in PHP development.

• Strong expertise in modern frameworks (Laravel is preferred; CodeIgniter is acceptable).

• In-depth understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture.

• Extensive experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization techniques.

• Proven track record in building scalable, high-traffic applications.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, system integration, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.

• Solid understanding of Linux environments and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Proficiency in JavaScript, specifically modern frameworks like React/Angular/Vue (preferred).

• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design (preferred).
