This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the administration of Oracle databases across production, acceptance, and development settings.
• Conduct installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of Oracle environments.
• Manage backup, restore, recovery, and retention policies effectively.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend enhancements.
• Execute tuning for queries, indexes, procedures, jobs, and database parameters.
• Administer high availability, replication, and disaster recovery setups.
• Assist with migration, upgrades, and modernization projects related to databases.
• Oversee user management, permissions, roles, and database security protocols.
• Develop and maintain monitoring routines, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide support to development teams with query analysis, data modeling, and adherence to best practices.
• Engage in defining the architecture for physical servers, virtual servers, and cloud environments.
• Offer insights on capacity, storage, memory, CPU, network, and scalability considerations.
• Document environments, processes, incidents, and technical procedures comprehensively.
• Address critical incidents, ensuring swift identification and resolution of issues.
• Extensive experience as a Senior Oracle DBA.
• Advanced understanding of Oracle Database functionalities.
• Proven experience managing critical production environments.
• Proficient in backup and recovery processes utilizing RMAN.
• Skilled in performance tuning and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or other high availability solutions.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Knowledgeable about server architecture, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Understanding of cloud environments including OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and database behaviors effectively.
• Experienced in technical documentation and operational best practices.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Knowledge of Exadata systems.
• Experience in automating routines using Shell Script, Python, or similar tools.
• Understanding of hybrid environments that encompass both on-premises and cloud solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, OEM, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of security measures, data protection (LGPD), encryption, auditing, and database hardening techniques.
• Possession of Oracle, cloud, or infrastructure certifications.
• Familiarity with complementary databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Proficient in English at an intermediate to advanced level.
