Senior Network Load Balancing Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and progression of enterprise load balancing and application delivery systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience for mission-critical applications across both on-premises and cloud environments.

• Act as the technical expert for Layer 4–7 traffic management, establishing standards, best practices, and strategic direction for F5, Citrix ADC, and VMware AVI platforms.

• Foster innovation and modernization by collaborating with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions, address complex production challenges, and influence the future of the organization’s application delivery ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required, including 2 years in a leadership/management role OR an Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required, with 2 years in leadership/management.

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in an architect-level position focused on load balancing and application delivery.

• Expert-level hands-on experience with: F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM/APM preferred), Citrix NetScaler / ADC, VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI Networks).

• Strong knowledge of: Layer 4–7 protocols (HTTP/S, TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS, DNS), Global server load balancing (GSLB), Application performance optimization, and traffic steering.

• Proven experience in designing highly available, large-scale, mission-critical systems.

• In-depth understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Demonstrated ability to function at both strategic architecture and in-depth technical levels.

• F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) / F5 Certified Solution Expert (CSE).

• Advanced or specialist certifications highly preferred, such as: Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N) or higher, VMware VCP-NV or NSX Advanced Load Balancer certifications, and relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP – Professional level preferred).
